ACTIVATING FAITH
John 15:12 "This is my commandment that you love one another as I have loved you"
Our theme in Education is "Activating Faith". What does this mean? Well, it is important not only to have faith but to act on that faith. A special person in my life once asked me, "How do you know when your prayers are finished?" Thinking I was wise and knew the answer I answered when you say "Amen". "No, he said it is when you take action." Well, how do you take action? What can we do? Can we make a difference? The movie "Evan Almighty" is a modern day Noah's Ark story. The phrase A.R.K. stood for Acts of Random Kindness and that actions even small ones can make a difference. This is one example of activating our faith. We are going to use the A.R.K. throughout the year to emphasize that we CAN make a difference. We will explore many ways that we can make a difference in our community and around our world in our Wednesday and Sunday programs. Having an active faith is part of growing in faith and "stepping outside of our box". Come, Participate, and See what it means to Live and be Active in your Faith!
We are in need of teachers for all grades. Give Missy a call and join in our Faith Activation.
