Drivers Needed
We are in need of bus drivers for Wednesday afternoons. We are looking for bus drivers who already have their licenses and are all their credentials but are also willing to help someone get their license and credentials. This could be a paid position and it would be from 2:15-3:30pm. It would be making two trips between the middle school and elementary school then back to the church. This is a very important ministry here at St. John's and getting our students here after school is key to having a successful after school program. Please talk to Missy if you are interested or know of anyone who has the time and is willing to serve in this way.

Wednesday Bussing
Well, our Big Blue Church Bus is now two years old and she has been through a lot during her first years as our loyal Church bus. It was decided after much deliberation that our loyal church bus deserves a name. Last year we accepted name ideas and have finally decided on a loyal name for a loyal bus. Her new name is Spirit Scooter.

We will again be making two trips to bring students to St. John's on Wednesday afternoon. We will begin by picking up our Middle school students (5-6th grade) first and bring them back to St. John's then Lohan (bus driver) will return to the elementary school to pick up our 1-4th grade students. I do not have the exact times yet but I will e-mail those times to parents that are registered as soon as the details are worked out again.

Small Group Guides for Confirmation
St John's Confirmation program is going through some "remodeling" and "enhancements" are being made. We will be revealing our "remodeled program" at fall orientations.

We STILL need group guides for confirmation students. We are in need of 8 group guides for the incoming 7th grade class and 1 group guide for a group of incoming 8th grade class. Group Guides will attend worship on Wednesday evenings (September to May) from 6:30 to 7:15p.m. and then meet with their small group of 6-8 students for small group time, fellowship, service and enrichment. You will be required to attend Group Guide huddles on a monthly basis.

Wednesday Supper Oasis
Supper on Wednesday evenings is served from 5:15 to 6:30 p.m. All are invited to join us. The cost of the meal is a free will donation (Suggested price is $5.00 per person ). This is a ministry which serves the whole congregation and a wonderful way to spend time with your family and friends over a yummy meal- especially the desserts!!! Thank you Paul!

This is Paul's sixth year cooking for Wednesday Oasis and a meal is served every Wednesday (including during the Summer months). He volunteers his time and spends 10-12 hours a week organizing and cooking. Make sure that you give Paul a thank you when you around because he is a real asset to the Wednesday Oasis programs. He really makes many of our lives easier on those busy Wednesday evenings. We serve between 200-250 people per week.
