Worship

All Are Welcome

The church of St. John's in Kasson welcomes you and we do hope that you will come and visit us for worship on Sunday or Wednesday. Please contact the Worship and Music Commission for more information or for suggestions.

All Christians are joined to God's Family through Baptism; that is why God's Family is often called our "Water Family." God's Family frequently comes together for a Family Meal known as Holy Communion. This Holy Meal is for the members of God's Family. None of us brings anything more to this Meal than our hunger and our need.

The ministry of St. John's is all about partnering with families to help them raise their children in the faith. Parents are not only their child's primary teachers in matters of faith; they are also the most influential. Therefore all of our First Communion preparation involves parents attending with their children.

Because readiness to begin participating in Holy Communion is not tied to a specific age and varies with each child and with each child's religious background, St. John's offers First Communion Preparation classes twice each year. Each series covers similar points while using one of two different curricula that are geared to different age groupings: Grades 1-3, and Grade 4.
